Découverte par sa participation au collectif Black Lives, Christie Dashiell est loin d'être une débutante. Fille du bassiste Caroll Dashiell Jr, qui a notamment travaillé avec Maceo Parker, la chanteuse a déjà publié en 2016 un album personnel, "Time All Mine", enregistré avec Marquis Hill, Marcus Strickland et Nicholas Payton.
